What we do: Exclusive benefits for our members

We promote awareness of the life science research sector as a driver of innovation for research and development in Germany. The LSR specialist department thus offers specific support and exclusive benefits for manufacturers of research-use-only-products and related areas. Our members benefit from a wide range of exclusive offers and services.

#Trends: Market analysis

Our own benchmarks, such as the annual market and product survey and regular quarterly surveys, provide a detailed insight into market developments in Germany. In our "Market Research" committee, we expand our market analysis by looking at related industries in Germany and calculating international lead panels from external sources.

Did you know?: Market research handbook with your own figures and industry-specific evaluations!

No commercially available market report comes so close to the German market. In German and English. This exclusive market analysis is available free of charge.

#Overview: Database for research funding

We have exclusive access to the LSR-FundFinder database and can therefore find our way through the opaque jungle of European research funding. This database includes all publicly accessible funding data relevant to the industry from five European countries (D, A, CH, UK, F) and is exclusive in its form and applicability: you can find funding data from all sources bundled in one place in an otherwise unrivaled breadth and depth! Keyword searches and profile storage are just two of the database's countless tools, and the results support sales and marketing in LSR companies. For each research topic, you will find the most important scientific working groups, their heads and the current funding amounts.

Your advantage: Targeted customer approach with customized products through insight into project objectives, budget and duration.

By the way: Access to the working addresses of group leaders is, of course, data protection compliant.

Did you know?: Only LSR members have access to research funding data from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Data from France and the UK complete the range. No other public database presents funding data in such a bundled and easily analyzable form.

#Study results: Industry-specific customer communication

The LSR department regularly launches a survey to find out the needs of customers in the information and purchasing process. What do customers pay particular attention to when purchasing a new device or when they want to find out about the latest reagents and consumables? We have the answers and share them with our members.

The costs of the customer communication study will be divided among the participating companies or, if possible, borne by the VDGH. The results will be shared accordingly.

#Voice tube: Communication and public relations for the network

We ensure that our members are visible as leading players in research by positioning our members' innovations, successes and contributions in the media, on social media and at trade fair events. Our brochure "We live research" tells the story of the LSR industry, its technologies and policy recommendations and is highly valued by members.

Did you know?: "LSR Spotlight Forum"

We are a platform for joint trade fair events at analytica in Munich. The "LSR Spotlight Forum" offers space for the scientific positioning of our members in front of a specialist audience. We organize key note lectures and panel discussions and are part of the trade fair press conferences.

#Future: Access to qualified junior staff

By organizing job information events at universities, we build bridges between academia and industry and facilitate access to motivated young scientists. On the LSR blog, we provide an insight into the career paths of employees from our member companies. Up close and personal. The topic of skilled workers is rounded off by the sector-specific job platform with job exchange. Young professionals can find out about entry opportunities, job profiles and vacancies in our industry.

Did you know?

We organize nationwide "LSR action days for professions" with our cooperation partners from the Career Service of various universities and student associations active throughout Germany. The industry-specific job platform www.viele-wege.de brings young professionals closer to jobs in the sector - with videos, job descriptions and a job exchange.

#TogetherStrong: The network within the network within the network

The LSR specialist department is embedded in the Verband der Diagnostica-Industrie e.V. (VDGH), LSR membership is regulated by VDGH membership. All advisory bodies, working structures, events and information services of the VDGH are fully available to LSR members. The connection to the in-vitro diagnostics industry creates new contacts and at the same time is characterized by a wealth of knowledge on topics such as the environment, sustainability, regulatory affairs and quality management.

In addition, every VDGH member is automatically a member of the German Chemical Industry Association (VCI) at no extra cost. In addition to its own committees and access to experts in the chemical industry, the VCI also offers attractive purchasing cooperations and special services at reduced rates.

In the association's work, all members benefit from the valuable exchange of knowledge and best practices through regular face-to-face meetings and modern formats such as virtual user clubs and Lunch'n'Learn seminars. Member meetings and social events round off the collaborative exchange between members and the office.

In addition to these specific benefits, VDGH membership enables significant cost savings through our exclusive products and services. Our members enjoy the benefit of using many services - from workshops to exclusive market reports and study results - at a fraction of the individual cost.

Did you know?: Three networks for the price of one - only with us.

We offer LSR-specific committees and meetings on the topics of market figures and customer communication. The LSR Board is elected by the network and steers the direction of the LSR specialist department.
